child playing in watertable

On February 11, the Beecher Early Head Start program met at the Sloan Museum with families to engage in hands-on learning and science fun! Children were able to interact with a giant interactive Great Lakes water table, Earth Globe and interactive neighborhood with a post office, car repair shop, grocery store, life-size treehouse, and even an ambulance with lights and sirens! Families had the opportunity to visit not only the Museum of Discovery, but also the History and Vehicle Gallery. The Sloan also provided all of our students with a free book from their library, including a selection of Black History stories, biographies and authors.
